Arturia AudioFuse X8 IN

Positiv:
- Die Verarbeitung ist super solide.
- der Klang ist top (wie beim Rig16).
- HighZ Clock Modus für Clock Chains.
- Preis/Leistung.

Negativ:
- Inputs lassen sich nur über das Audiofuse Control Center (Software) regeln.
- Ein clocken von Extern über ADAT ist nicht möglich, sondern nur über Word Clock (BNC-Buchse).
- Die USB C-Buchse für Firmware Updates ist INNERHALB des Geräts verbaut, d. h. für jedes Update muss die Kiste aus dem Rack geschraubt werden (zwei verschiedene Schraubenarten und beide winzig), dann muss die Frontplatte abgeschraubt werden und man muss vorsichtig die auf die Platine gelötete USB C-Buchse mit dem Computer verbinden.

Tipp:
- die Bohrungen auf der THON Rackwanne 1HU ( <a class="article link" href="thon_rackwanne_1he.htm">Thon Rack Adapter 1U 25</a>) sind so, dass man die Rackwanne anstelle der vorderen beiden Gummifüße (mit den zu den Gummifüßen gehörenden Schrauben) unter das X8 schrauben kann. Das X8 sitzt dann wahlweise links oder rechts bündig auf der Rackwanne.

I own about 4 synths, and wanted to use them as 'external instruments' within Ableton. Before, I had my synths all coming in via input 1 and 2 on my audio interface, resulting in routing complications/limitations. The AudioFuse proved the perfect and, if I did my research well, most affordable solution.

I've connected my AudioFuse to my audio interface via ADAT (don't forget to remove the plastic caps on the cable tips - like I did), set the clock source on my audio interface to 'optical' and both units at the same sample rate. Then it was just a matter of selecting the extra inputs in Abletons Input Config screen and setting up the external instruments.

Comme tous les produits Arturia c’est bien conçu et bien construit.
Je l’utilise avec une Apollo X6 en Smux, tous les canaux en 96khz.
Attention, j’ai aussi une Apollo X4 couplée avec la X6 et dans ce cas il est impératif de relier Audiofuse avec le câble BNC pour que la X6 soit maître (ou avec une autre clock).
Derrière j’ai 4 synthé connectés.
Les canaux s’ajoutent immédiatement dans la console Universal Audio.
Côté audio, c’est parfait, rien à dire.
