You need to find the purpose
It's a classic sound, robust built, easy to use.
However it sounds a bit metallic for me. Its not a main problem, you can dial it in. My favourite sound comes out from it when I roll back the tone on the guitar, that's some kind of serious Brant Bjorkish, or Josh Homme style sound from the Kyuss era.
A hint: i reached a better sound from it when used through my blackstar amp with amp/audio output for recording.
A very-very good accompanied by a green OD pedal, like a maxon, or a tubescreamer.
