This bridge improves your instrument
The Gotoh Hi mass bridge fits in the standard spacing of 70mm of the screws. Installation is easy, reuse the original screws for they were bigger and fit the holes right. The benefits are that there is a gain of sustain and it eliminated a dead C on the D string. More precise playability, same for intonation of the bridge. More pitch stability, tuning is easier. Side effect, it helps to cure the neck diving. More even response across the frequencies, highs more in control, the E string is more defined and played, also on the high register.

Excellent bridge!
I have a cheap bass which I am steadily upgrading as a project to see if it can match the quality of my higher-end instruments. No single change has made more difference than upgrading to this bridge - plus the gold looks very classy with the black gloss finish of the instrument. Very easy to install!

Great Bridge Upgrade
Like others have said, it really is a pretty solid bridge upgrade. Looks beautiful, and fit perfectly on my Mexican Fender fretless Jazz bass. It also seems to have helped out with a problem I was having with the g string sounding a bit dead.
