Great Book even for a novice
I'm a relatively new player with a passion for jazz, and I was looking for a quality intro with a great selection. This is what I got when I purchased the HL Jazz Bass classics.
It's encouraged me to sit down with the book, a stand, and a guitar and learn the pieces. It's the first book that's done this.

This book is a great introduction into the world of jazz. The excellent choice of songs, great arrangements - make it a pleasure to play along, jam along or just listen to these masterpieces.
