A good pedal just made even better
Originally I chose it over the non-plus because of having MIDI and controlling it through an HX Stomp XL. Whether that's worth paying almost double the price is up to you. I also wanted to keep my board small, that's why I didn't go for the original big Tonex, and this one I can just hide under my Rockboard Tres 3.1.
Tonal wise it's good as always, there are hundreds of videos on YouTube to check it.
The phone app is good, on the fly changes are way easier than trying to fiddle with the small knobs and there is also an option to play backing tracks over Bluetooth.
You can power it via USB, however for me it got extremely noisy on a high gain preset, which doesn't happen when I'm running it from my Cioks DC7.
I only use it for the amp sim part. The effects are okay but basic, so there is no fancy shimmer reverb or granular delay. It get's the job done and that's it.
