Ovation 12 string
I bought this guitar for a couple of hundred pounds less than what other on-line retailers were selling it for, so that in itself is great.
Fit and finish of all the parts is top quality. The model I have, has a deep gloss black finish, which looks good. I may have picked a different colour if it had been available though.
Out of the box the action is spot on, making playability very good. This 12 string has a slightly thinner neck than other brands, which I like. Comes with Adamas strings, which again are very good.
Unplugged, the sound is luscious and surprisingly loud - it's just beautiful. I find the deep bowl still comfortable to play, and it sits on my lap better than shallow bowl Ovations, of which I have several.
Plugged in, the sound is still very good with enough eq adjustment to give the balance you are looking for. The built in tuner is superb and accurate, which really is essential for a 12 string guitar. Tuning stability is excellent. Even after being left for a while, and changing room conditions, the instrument stays in tune.
I can highly recommend this product. It came well packaged and on time from Thomann, who are now my 'go to' music store
