On my snare I have cranked this head up really high. Surprisingly, the head has kept it's tuning, not shown any strain with the snare wires over it, and has a really good resonance to it.
Some bottom heads don't seem to react well with snare wires. I use Puresound E1316 Equaliser snare wires and the two seem like a match made in heaven!
There isn't anything negative I can say about this head. It's simple, durable, and most importantly a quality piece of kit.

Never disappoint!
I have always played Remo. I find their heads reliable, durable, have lots of tone, wide tuning range, and hold the tuning well. I do not feel the need to switch brands. Recommended!

Great for fat/dry but still clear and punchy snare
I didn't expect that would make that difference! Compared to default membrane, in medium tuned snare with thick upper membrane, the sound is fat/dry but still clear.

Excellent heads
Can't go wrong with ambassadors snare sides. It's just a good simple head. If you're tuning high you may have to replace more often, but I easily get 6 months or more out of mine at a time.

Remo 13" Ambassador Reso Snare

Setting the standard
Replaced the stock head on my 13 PDP Snare this ambassador head. It's the difference in night and day in terms of response to the snare. Allows for much more dynamic playing. For me, this is the standard reso head to use on all snare drums.
