Ancient instrument done right
The Saz Cura is the smaller brother of the Baglama which itself hails from the thousands of years old Dotar (or Dutar, really depends on the dialect). Its an instrument of the nomads, it was played in the deserts, on the wide sands, in the forests, the wild steppes, and the mountains. It was played by nomads, sheep herders, warriors, merchants, noblemen. This instrument is virtualy the same with the same workmanship.
THE WORKMANSHIP AND ALLAROUND QUALITY
This instrument is built by Saz Müzik Aletleri from Istanbul, and each instrument is hand made with each having its own personality pertaining to Wood grain, color and individual features. You can see that each instrument was hand finished carefuly. It has no sharp edges, you can see it was hand sanded and finished. The feel of the instrument is superb and playing it on a rainy night by the light of a candle fire is a unique feeling.
TUNING
The tuning pegs work great, its easy to tune the instrument (remember tuning pegs need to be turned and pushed in simultaniously). The instrument stays in tune. I use the standard Cura tuning which is Gg dd Aa.
So what to say, the Saz Cura sounds excellent! It has a unique sound that is crisp and clean. And if you are interested in this instrument, i wholeheartedly recommend it!

It's good for beginners
Let's say that I understood that it was smaller than Baglama but I didn't expect this much smaller 😅
In any case since I never played this kind of instrument it is a good start to get more confidence with the instrument and the different kind of tuning compared to a guitar.
If you are looking for something professional this is not the kind you're looking for. It feels more like a toy more than a professional instrument.
My biggest issue was to tune it. The tuners are not smooth as a guitar tuners so you have to be very careful to get the right note otherwise it will be impossible to tune it.
The sound of it very low in volume but if you put a mic next the hole on the side you can get a decent sound maybe with some reverb on it.
