The Loar LH-600 VSB

Jelenleg (2021 év eleje) véleményem szerint a legjobb választás ebben a kategóriában.
Kiválasztás szempontjai: autentikus archtop forma és hangzásvilág a 30as évekből, tömör fa test, 1000 € alatt.
Szép állapotban érkezett, szépen rezonál és sugározza a hangot, a V-nyak kényelmes. Közepes tartományban kellemesen csilingel, a hangerővel is megvagyok elégedve!
Egy apróság, az F kivágásban a lakkozás hiányos.
Kíváncsi vagyok, hogy öregszik. Összességében nagyon ajánlom!

It think this is the best offer on the market (03/2021) in this category. My criteria: authentic archtop shape and sound from the 30s, solid body, under 1000€.
It came in good condition, resonates nicely, have a rich sound in the middle range and projects the sound well! It is loud enough and a V-shape neck is also comfortable.
One small thing: the finishing of f hole is not done.
I am corious how it ages. I recommend it!

Die beste Wahl auf dem Markt heute (Anfang 2021).
Auswahlkriterien: authentische Form und Klangkarakter aus den 30er Jahren, solid, unter 1000€. Sie kam in guter Kondition an, hat einen tollen und lauten Klang (reich im Mittelbereich). V-neck ist angenehm.
Eine Kleinigkeit: F loch wurde nicht ferig lakkiert.
Es wundert mich wie sie reift.

I bought this to replace my Godin 5th Avenue which has been my regular go-to instrument for playing acoustic rhythm guitar with big bands for the last half-decade or so. The Godin guitar is a very good instrument and has a very punchy sound with plenty of bark. I would say that the Loar, which I have now used a handful of times in similar situations, is a noticeable step up. It has a fuller, rounder tone and will perform well in a wider range of situations including solo guitar and small guitar combos. Whereas with the Godin I found myself hitting it as hard as I good all the time the Loar has a wider dynamic range and benefits from being played softer at times. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who is looking to play unamplified jazz, especially with a big band.

Une archtop sans fioritures, la finition est simple, on sent la volonté d'axer le produit sur la qualité du son et la jouabilité. Et l'objectif est atteint. Cette guitare sonne comme une archtop doit sonner, un son bien sec, qui envoie du bois, avec un feeling vintage. Le manche est parfait, à mon goût, avec une touche assez large pour être à l'aise dans les positions les plus complexes. Il arrive, avec cette marque, que les frettes aient besoin d'un peu de finition (planification, polissage des arêtes), mais sur le modèle reçu, rien de tout cela. Je possède quelques vieilles archtops (Epiphone, Gibson, Vega) acquises au fil des années (hé oui, je ne suis plus de première jeunesse), cela me fait mal de l'écrire, car je les adore, mes vieilles guitares, mais cette guitare les dépasse toutes en terme de sonorité. Et le rapport qualité/prix est incroyable. Et pour info, le modèle de base, avec juste la table massive, donc encore moins cher, la LH300, est pratiquement aussi bonne, il faut vraiment les jouer l'une après l'autre pour entendre la différence, le son de la LH600 est un peu plus boisé, plus complexe, je dirais (pas facile de décrire un son).
