Proper block
Wundaba 11.04.2020
This block produces the perfect pitched sound for that classic block sound we all want.

It came packed in a neat box with the mount bracket included. The first few hits with the stick surprised me as its quite loud with just a moderate tap on the middle section. But I welcomed this as I would use it to play some rock and punk covers of songs that have the block sound. The only issue I had was the mounting on my cowbell bass drum mount as you have to really tighten it to prevent swiwelling from left to right, I recommend a strong thicker cowbell stand then the one I used.

A bargain

Compared to the original.
Of course it's not a coincidence it's got the same pitch as the originator.
Feels the same, almost no difference in esthetics...

This is one LOUD block!
Datseris 10.03.2019
Wow! We wanted a block for my band to play mainly quarter notes in various solo parts etc. This was a good option, since we already had the blue block by thomann.

This is such a good buy, especially for its costs. It is suuuuper loud if you play it forte but it still has a nice sound if you play it a bit softer. Very good for live gigs due to its power!

The loudness could be a con for some, but definitely not for us.

Powerful Percussion Companion
Abandoned Russian Megastructure 22.11.2025
I've found the Thomann PB2 Power Block to be a valuable addition to my percussion setup. Its loud and clear sound is perfect for live gigs, and I appreciate its ability to produce a nice tone even when played softly. The block's power is notable, and I've been pleased with its overall performance. I've used it for various musical styles, including rock and punk covers, and it has delivered the classic block sound I was looking for. The included mount bracket is a convenient touch, and I've had no issues with the block's quality or durability. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and powerful percussion block.
