Amazing
This sounds amazing, but the mallet it comes with is to bright. I would recommend using a felt (soft) mallet to get a bit warmer sound.

Excellent build quality but doesn't sound like the audio example
Positive: Excellent build quality.
Negative: It doesn't sound anywhere close to the audio example in the product description. It has a MUCH higher pitch and sounds a lot thinner. Think high pitched claves but more boxy sounding.
I'm sure I can find some use for it but it's not what I needed so I'm a bit disappointed.

honestly the best sounding woodblock i've tried in a long time.
only real con is the size: it's big!
i bought it with the intent of mounting it on my washboard but it's way too bulky, meaning it won't suit the set and also doesn't sound great when hit by a thimble

The workmanship is really great for the price but the sound is not as pleasand as in the demo.

Amazing sounding wood block.
I recently bought the Thomann wood block as I wanted to expand the sounds on my kit. I was amazed at how good it sounded. The attached clip made to easy to fit on a cymbal stand and it now sits next to my hi hat. The tone cuts through and records perfectly. I highly recommend it.
