Nice reed but...
Very hard hitting. Great jazz reed with ease of control over dynamics and articulation. If you want a big, bright sounding reed that makes you stand out, this is the right one for you. But I prefer a creamier, supple reed, so my choice is the Java Red-Cut.

Dark, a little bit airy sound
These are very good reeds, if you want airy, jazzy sound, but not too dark and with depth, then this is good choice. I personally use Vandoren V16 2,5 alto reeds with Vandoren V16 mouthpiece and this combination is just beautiful. I recommend!
