Audient iD24

I looked for a small interface that has enough I/O and good enough converters to have a stereo outboard chain for my mastering work.
This unit not only have an extra two output, but a send-return on the mic input so I can bypass the preamp and go directly to the AD using the two input.

Apart from that it has a digital volume knob providing flawless balance, and some function buttons to use it as a monitoring controller if you have just a entering into that area (I have a Nero already which is little more powerful).

The sound quality is outstanding, the software provides flexible options (for instance you can bypass the volume control if you use your own monitoring controller), you can set the digital out between stereo and ADAT.

I have three minor things I dont like:
- The device mutes sometimes on mac and I need to restart its software to fix it. Happens in every two months.
- I wish it had 18dBu instead of 12. Nero has 18dBu input and now I don’t see if it peaks.
- No input level indication.

Otherwise, this is the most powerful 2-input device out there.
