Problematic
I contacted the manufacturer and they said that the Hexdrums Snare Drum part may be calibrated differently, making it much noisier.
Here is their answer: There are two trim pots on the PCB (R400 and R444) for trimming the noise and bleed of the snare - you can adjust these at your own risk to see if you can reduce the noise further.

Mine is so noisy at 20% volume that it is unusable. This is the second time I have returned one to Thomann, but I have decided that I will never need this device again.
