I used 2 of these drivers for restoring a pair of HH pro 100 series 2 speakers, as I needed something that would give a similar response to the original HH drivers. These Fane units did not disappoint. The HH cabinet is a sealed cabinet and in these cabs they do sound punchy but clear, and the HH tweeter gives a nice top end sparkle. They're also lighter than the original drivers, which is nice when you consider the weight of these speakers! They made the whole restoration project seem very worthwhile, because now I have a pair of 30 year old speakers which I feel could hold their own with many much more modern speakers.

These are TRIPLE coned! (not twin). I have a couple of very old wedge monitors, very small internal volume. These have been refurbished and I decided to try these wideband drivers. My hearing is good to 17.5kHz, so will these be ok without an HF driver? Well, the wedges don't have one and the sound is the best ever, solid and punchy, nice and flat response, not exactly sub-bass at 12 inch in such small enclosures, but there's nothing seriously missing for monitors. Thoroughly recommended !
