You don't always need the B20
I am not a pro drummer, however I have been playing in a band for 10+ years with shorter and longer pauses, I have been gigging as well. I had cymbals from the garbage brass to the high quality B20s and I must say that these are super great value for the money especially this pack with the extra 18" crash. I play mostly metal/rock and sometimes hip-hop, of course these cymbals are meant for heavier and/or modern genres - I don't play jazz but if I did, probably I would go for something else because these are not too "musical". On the other hand, they are "cutting the mix" and don't disappoint me after my AAXs. I know many people would disagree me on this, but I'd rather go for Meinl B12 than cheap B20 any day. With this pack, you can get high quality cymbals at a very attractive price and they will not disappoint you. However, if you play some mellow music you probably want something else - these are loud.
