Absolutely no regrets!
I have a Peavey VK 100, and I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the reverb doesn't work properly. After a while I figured out that the preamp tube controlling the reverb needs to be replaced. So I bought the Mesa as a substitute for the JJ preamp tube in the V1 position.
It arrived in a package that was fairly safely packaged in a big box with a lot of cussion inside to protect it from damage. It was easy to put it inside. Simply said, it surprised me a lot, in a very positive way! My amp sounds very different.
The clean is rich, but the drive is... man! It is the reason I bought that preamp tube. The amp has a lot more gain now, playing through it feels as the Gain knob has been extended by a half. The investment was absolutely worth it.
Nonetheless, I appreciate the professional and kin manner of the customer support! Way to go!
