Best bang for the buck
I've had this double bass for 3 months now. This is the best value that you can get in this pricerange (at least in Hungary).
This is the first bass I purchased, but I have tried many others - mainly on the second hand market. There are worst used instruments for a higher price than this one.
It came on a pallet in an enormous box, packaged with upmost carefulness. I've asked for the jazz setup, it seems and feels right.
No need for a luthier, at least for now. (Very big positive.)
All things considered the build quality is very nice, it feels solid, and it looks like that it can take serious hits.
The sound quality blowed by mind, and freaked out others, who own much more expensive instruments. They did not believe when I told them the cost.
Two small negatives:
The tightener thing of the bow snapped on the first day (the iron core slipped of the overmolded plastic), but they offered a replacement - the new one looks all-right, and came in a week.
The big gear on the D machine is slightly eccentric, so it's sometimes hard to turn, or will skip - not a big deal.
I would recommend this instrument, if you need a hobby double bass, which you can always use and abuse.
