Good Value - Well Made and Designed

This was my first drum pad device and so I did not know what to expect initially. It has the added advantage of being able to work with both one's computer and iPad or other IOS device. It comes supplied with a cable for both situations.

The iRig Pads is solidly built and looks well made and designed. It also has a smart overall appearance. The actual pads themselves feel good under the hands and respond well when played - whether you play them hard or gently, it is all communicated accurately to the software. You can also download a free iRig software editor from the IK Multimedia website and also a free version of the Sample Tank Software. The iRig editor should however make it easy to map the pads to any other software and works quite well with its easy to understand interface.

The only negative thing I can say about this package is that the cable provided for computer usage is much too short (unless you have a laptop right next to the iRig). Otherwise - you will ether need a USB extension or have to buy a longer one.

Quallity 16 pad midi controller at a nice price!

This is a high quallity 16 pad (velocity sensitive) midi controller at a very nice price! Ideal for midi drum playing! Very nice design, easy to understand! After registering the product you can download a free Sampletank version from IK Multimedia site!
The only thing you may need (if you want to be able to play with with it far from the computer) is a USB extension cable, cause the one provided is too short (I have read the previous user review here noticing this, so I've ordered it together with a long USB extension cable, from Thomann!)
